The 'Open Innovation Daedeok with Airbus' event, co-hosted by the Research & Development Zone Foundation (INNOPOLIS) and global aerospace leader Airbus, was held on the 22nd at the Daejeon Science Center. 

This open innovation program was designed to identify capable DeepTech startups within the Daedeok Innopolis and to explore collaboration opportunities for global Proof of Concept (PoC) and technology commercialization in the aerospace sector.

As the official organizer of this program, SYP (Technology Commercialization & Investment Firm) supported the recruitment and matching of promising startups that align with the specific technological demands outlined by Airbus headquarters. The core focus areas requested by Airbus included: ▲Device-to-Device (D2D) direct communication, ▲AI-based intelligent RAN and Core networks, and ▲compact, low-power beamforming and intelligent antenna technologies for next-generation Massive MIMO.

Following a comprehensive evaluation by Airbus headquarters, four selected Daedeok Innopolis startups (▲Adwave, ▲Bluewavetel, ▲Intospace, and ▲AU) presented their core technological capabilities and collaboration proposals directly to Airbus engineers on-site. The event was attended by key representatives from the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT), INNOPOLIS, and Airbus headquarters, alongside the SYP Daejeon branch.

INNOPOLIS and Airbus plan to facilitate future collaboration through the 'Airbus Techhub Korea' located in Daedeok to ensure that these newly uncovered projects translate into tangible business achievements.
