A few weeks ago, SYP successfully hosted the '2026 DIPS Global IR & PoC' in Tokyo at the Tokyo Innovation Base (TiB). The program brought together promising Korean DeepTech startups selected under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ DIPS (DeepTech Incubator Program for Startups) project, along with prominent Japanese investors and major corporate partners.

The event was attended by key representatives from South Korea's Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) and Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), highlighting the growing importance of Korea–Japan collaboration in the startup ecosystem.

To explore cross-border investment and global Proof of Concept (PoC) opportunities, leading Japanese investors and corporate partners were invited to the event, including Salesforce Ventures, MUFG (MUTB), All Nippon Airways (ANA), Recruit Holdings Co., Ltd., SBI Investment, Yamato Transport Co., Ltd., YANMAR VENTURES, and Deloitte.

Over the span of three days, the participating Korean startups joined specialized workshops to gain insights into Japan's startup ecosystem and analyzed successful PoC collaboration cases between Yamato Holdings and two Korean DeepTech startups. This was followed by Demo Day pitching sessions and tailored mentoring to refine their localization strategies.

Building on the momentum of this Tokyo program, SYP plans to continuously serve as a vital bridge between the Korean and Japanese innovation ecosystems, ensuring that top-tier Korean DeepTech startups can smoothly land in Japan's core ecosystem and secure tangible PoC and capital collaborations with global enterprises.
