We are pleased to share the highlights of our global cooperation with Ethiopia, as featured in an interview with H.E. Dessie Dalkie Dukamo, the Ethiopian Ambassador to Korea, published in the Yeongnam Ilbo on June 2nd.

In the interview, Ambassador Dukamo emphasized the need to elevate the relationship between Korea and Ethiopia beyond a historical friendship into an "economic partnership." He strongly encouraged Korean enterprises to actively venture into Ethiopia's infrastructure and digital transformation sectors.

In particular, the Ambassador explicitly mentioned that Ethiopia has been discussing concrete cooperation plans with SYP as a key partner for ODA (Official Development Assistance) and future advanced industry collaboration between the two nations. As Ethiopia is a resource-rich country with abundant strategic minerals such as lithium, this partnership is expected to play a pivotal role in stabilizing South Korea's critical mineral supply chain and establishing a global forward operating base for deep-tech startups.
