The meeting was organized to bridge top-tier basic bioengineering research in Japan with applied research and commercialization capabilities of innovative startups and research institute spin-offs from Daedeok. During the session, the Sekino Laboratory shared recent research milestones in biomedical engineering, followed by an overview of Daedeok Innopolis and technology presentations by participating startups. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions regarding joint research opportunities and specialized talent exchange mechanisms.
Following these initial discussions, SYP will continue to structure follow-up collaboration frameworks, assisting promising Korean bio enterprises in securing global R&D references and elevating technological maturity through academic partnerships in Japan.
