Establishment of Intellectual Property Transaction Consultation Meeting with Excellence and Sharing

The Korean Intellectual Property Office announced that it will hold the "2023 Intellectual Property Transaction Conference" to revitalize intellectual property transactions at COEX C Hall in Gangnam, Seoul on the afternoon of the 2nd.

The conference will share the achievements of excellent intellectual property transactions that are the foundation for innovative growth of Korean companies and hold awards for intellectual property transactions, awards for outstanding state-owned patent inventors, and an intellectual property transaction signing ceremony.

In the event of sharing the excellence of intellectual property transactions, it will introduce intellectual property transaction policies and announce cases in which companies have succeeded in developing new products and expanding new businesses by introducing necessary technologies through intellectual property transaction brokerage.

In the Intellectual Property Transaction Merit Award, which was introduced for the first time this year, commendations from the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy (1 point) and commendations from the Commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office (3 points) will be awarded to people of merit and organizations that contributed to revitalizing intellectual property transactions (mediation, supply, and utilization).

The commendation from the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy will be awarded to Kim Dong-woon, head of Kukjeon Pharmaceutical Research Institute. Through intellectual property transactions, Kim introduced key technologies related to secondary battery materials at universities, expanding his new business from the existing "raw material drugs" to "secondary battery electrolyte additives."

Hong Sung-wook, CEO of SYP Co., Ltd., Baek Jeong-sun, a researcher at the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency, and Kim Seung-soo, team leader of Hanbat University Technology Holdings Co., Ltd., were selected for the commendation of the head of the Korean Intellectual Property Office.

The inventors of excellent state-owned patents were selected by Oh Jae-heon, a researcher at the National Forest Research Institute, Noh Kyung-tae, a researcher at the Armed Forces Medical Research Institute, and Seo Woo-deok, a researcher at the National Institute of Food Science.

In addition, outside the venue, intellectual property transaction counseling sessions and public relations centers are operated separately, and intellectual property transaction consulting is provided to companies in demand for technology.
 

Through the Intellectual Property Exchange patent exchange expert, you can directly receive counseling on the transfer of patent technology such as 6,000 patents held by universities and public performances and state-owned patents.

The Intellectual Property Trade Policy Promotion Center displays excellent products developed through intellectual property transactions, introduces the Intellectual Property Trade Support Project of the Korean Intellectual Property Office, and guides you on how to use the "National Intellectual Property Trading Platform (IP-Market)."

"Intellectual property created by research and development can be valued when traded and utilized in the market," said Jupiter Ho, director of the Industrial Property Policy Bureau at the Korean Intellectual Property Office. "In the future, the Korean Intellectual Property Office will provide policy support so that excellent patent technology can be used for innovative growth of companies."
