Technology value evaluation refers to expressing the economic value of technology that may occur through commercialization in accordance with Article 2 (4) of the Technology Transfer and Commercialization Promotion Act, and the results of technology evaluation can be used for in-kind investment, technology transaction, investment and loan, tax, litigation, and liquidation.

<Main tasks of technical evaluation agencies>

1. Calculation of the amount for investment in kind of technology or intellectual property rights (Article 299-2 of the Commercial Act)

2. Evaluation of technology value during technology transactions and technology licensing

3. Evaluation of technology value when establishing security rights for technology or attracting investment

4. Evaluation of assets following corporate bankruptcy, restructuring, and technology value evaluation when establishing a debt repayment plan

5. Evaluation of technology value for court submission in case of litigation related to infringement of intellectual property rights, default, or other disputes

6. Evaluation of technology value for bank loan screening

7. Evaluation of technology value for investment review by venture capital, etc

8. Evaluation of technology value for submission to public institutions such as tax offices/procurement agencies
