On September 22nd (Fri), the scale-up tips day hosted by Sema Investment Consortium was held successfully on the first basement floor of the TIPS Town UNICORN building.
The event was organized by Sema Investment, Magna Investment, K2 Investment, SYP, and GDIN, which were designated as the consortium operators for the fourth phase of Scale-Up Tips by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and a total of 40 officials, including representatives of 20 companies including Epinozen, Dayton, and Target Link, attended.
Scale-up Tips is a program in which private operators and governments work together to help invest in promising scale-up companies. Through this, if the operator invests more than 1 billion won, the government will support up to 2 billion won in equity investment and up to 1.2 billion won in contributions R&D over three years.
The Sema Investment Consortium is determined to set an intelligent and leading example in the scale-up tips program under the name "SMART KINGS." The event began with the introduction of "SMART KINGS" operator by Sung-wook Hong, CEO of SYP Co., Ltd., followed by Song Young-hoon, an advisor to the LEE&KO law firm, on the IPO technology special listing. GDIN CEO Kim Jong-kap also enriched the event by announcing global technology commercialization.
In the second half of the event, networking time was arranged among the participants, and various information and experiences were shared. A consortium official said the scale-up tips day will not end as a one-time event and said the UNICORN BRIDGE LOUNGE program introduced at the event will continue to provide investment, business information and networking opportunities.
