As part of the 'DeepTech Incubator Program for Startups (DIPS 1000+)' supported by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (KISED), the '2026 Nuclear & Fusion Networking Day' was held on September 30 at Ramada by Wyndham Daejeon, organized by the Korea Atomic Industrial Forum (KAIF).

The event was designed to accelerate technology commercialization and establish market linkages for startups in the next-generation nuclear and fusion energy sectors. A total of 53 key stakeholders attended, including 17 selected DIPS startups, major nuclear energy demand organizations, public enterprises, and financial institutions.

Following morning sessions on technology commercialization status and investment programs, tailored 1-on-1 business matching sessions were conducted in the afternoon.

SYP participated in the counseling sessions as a specialized technology commercialization and investment partner alongside major industry leaders and institutions—including Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) CRI, Doosan Enerbility, KEPCO KPS, Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI), Hyundai E&C, and Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KIBO). SYP focused on consulting startups on commercialization strategies, intellectual property (IP) structuring, and fundraising avenues to support their market entry.

The matching sessions generated a total of 67 consultations across key operational areas: ▲Purchase and demand-side matching (13 cases), ▲Joint R&D (17 cases), ▲Technology consultation (21 cases), ▲Financial support (9 cases), and ▲Investment facilitation (7 cases).

Moving forward, SYP will continue to leverage its specialized technology commercialization capabilities to ensure that innovative startups in national strategic tech sectors, including nuclear and fusion energy, successfully connect with public and private demand channels to achieve tangible scale-up milestones.
